Dear Clients,
In response to the latest directive from Governor Whitmer, effective at 5 pm March 31st, we are implementing the following protocols, which will stay in effect until the order is lifted:
-
Suspending all adult Well Animal Visits
-
Suspending all elective surgeries, such as spays, neuters, declawing, and dental procedures
We will continue to see patients for any of the following situations:
- Illness
- Injuries
- Follow-up lab testing for life-threatening illness
- Continue to see puppies and kittens for their scheduled vaccinations
- Update, due or overdue rabies vaccinations
Additionally, we are refilling needed prescriptions, including heartworm and flea and tick preventative. If you have any questions about what we can or can’t see, please call our office at 231-845-7719.
Other protocols that will remain in place:
- We are not allowing any clients into our building. The front doors will remain locked at all times.
- For approved visits, please arrive with your canine family member wearing a sturdy, snug collar or harness with a leash attached. For felines, please arrive with them in a carrier.
- When you arrive at our office, please stay in your car. Call us from the car upon arrival and a team member will obtain, over the phone, all pertinent information regarding your pet.
- Once all information is acquired, a team member will come to your car and bring your pet into our facility.
- The doctor will call you after an examination of your pet with any questions he or she may have. You will be advised via phone what procedures are indicated for your pet.
- When we are finished with your pet, a team member will return him or her to your car.
- If you are not feeling well on the day of your appointment, please call us so that we can reschedule your pet for a later date when you are feeling better. Alternatively, you can appoint another healthy adult to bring your pet to the office.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 231-845-7719. We hope you stay healthy and safe during these most difficult days. Our goal is to get back on track with regular services as soon as possible.
Stay healthy,
Dr. Paxton, Dr. Deines and the entire care team at Animal Hospital of Ludington
